Early
Differentiated learning is learning that accommodates students' learning needs according to their learning readiness, interest in learning, and student learning styles, so as to create the student learning profile that we want.
Low student interest in learning, Students in the class often disturb their friends, Then students' lack of focus in learning is one of the main factors in me taking this differentiated learning.
On the other hand, Facing the complex diversity of students, teachers are required to provide services that suit students' learning interests, readiness to learn so that the Pancasila student profile that we want is realized.
My role and responsibility as a teacher is that I must increase my insight in creating meaningful learning, including by implementing differentiated learning with media and learning methods that are effective and fun..
CHALLENGE
Of course, in its application in the classroom, There are definitely challenges to be faced. Among them from the teachers themselves is a lack of preparation in designing effective learning media, lack of interesting media use, generate creative ideas for content differentiation, the processes and products in each lesson appear clearly and classroom management is conducive so that each differentiation of content and processes and products runs well so that learning is effective, conducive and enjoyable.
From the students' perspective, this includes adapting to new learning, interaction between groups according to learning readiness, Their interests and learning profile also require an adjustment process that is not instant, everything needs to be a continuous process.
ACTION
- Develop learning tools consisting of differentiated lesson plans and using various learning media that are tailored to readiness, students' interests and learning profiles.
- Convey the learning objectives to be achieved.
- Mapping students' learning readiness using the Canva application, namely in the themed LKPD category “all about me”
- Group students based on their interests and readiness to learn, namely those who are interested in audio visuals(watch a video about the parts of a flower and their functions), visual (see pictures about flowers and their functions) and kinesthetic (directly observe perfect flowers and their function in the environment around the school).
- Distributing Student Worksheets to determine student achievement in understanding the material presented in accordance with student learning readiness.
- Create questions via the Quizizz application about flowers and their functions
- Share the question link quizzz in the group whatsApp
- Students work on questions quizzz
- Carry out assessments from attitude observations, knowledge tests and performance presentations or work/project results with an assessment rubric
- Reflect with students regarding the material presented. The general student activities include: :
- Students explore their knowledge by listening to the parts of a perfect flower and their functions via cellphone, Read the parts of flowers and their functions in the pictures that have been made, then observe the perfect flower and its function in the surrounding environment (content differentiation).
- Each group reveals the results of their discussion (Process Differentiation).
Learning
The impact of the actions that I have carried out has increased students' interest in learning and the level of students' understanding of the perfect flower material has improved. This can be seen from the students who were able to retell their understanding of the perfect flower material and its functions in various ways according to readiness, interests and learning profile.
The success factor for learning is thorough preparation, starting from lesson planning, until the learning process takes place. By implementing a content strategy, The right processes and products combined with base learning and assisted by TPACK media make students' interest in learning higher and their level of understanding of the material presented gets better..
The lesson from this good practice is that success in implementing interesting and meaningful learning in class requires good preparation, sustainable process, as well as reflection at the end of each lesson so that subsequent learning will be even better.
That's all my good practice regarding differentiated learning, Hopefully it will be useful and inspiring for great teachers throughout Indonesia.
Healthy and happy greetings.
