Ada 2 students' learning abilities are a class priority 4 in SDN 268 Aruna, namely the ability to collaborate and the ability to communicate. Teachers play an important role, namely facilitating students in communicating. In communication, Language skills are a must have. One communication skill that can be developed is speaking in the form of presentations. Besides that, students still have less insight into the surrounding environment due to the effects of the pandemic so students don't know the historical buildings around them because during the pandemic they never left the house.
The implementation of the Independent Curriculum provides its own challenges for teachers in teaching English. This also makes some class students 4 be difficult because it has never been studied before. Teachers must try to make learning English easy and fun.
Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles (P5) become a gateway for effective learning exploration. The title of P5 is "Bandung is My Amazing City" with the theme of local wisdom. Meanwhile, the dimension chosen is global diversity, mutual cooperation, and creative. The teacher also invited native speakers from America to teach English according to the P5 theme. To make it easier for students to recognize and understand the surrounding environment, The teacher invited Bandung city history activists, especially regarding historical buildings. Then students make mockups of historical buildings and present them using 3 language (Indonesia, Sunda, and England) in groups.
This project ultimately trains students to be confident and get used to collaborating as something that can support a successful learning process.
