IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN THE MERDEKA CURRICULUM IN Sdn 15 sp. 3 skp. d Pandan, Tempunak sub-district.
Project-based learning or often known as the project-based learning model or Project Based Learning (PBL), The essence of learning is that students or students form a study group and then work on a project accompanied by a teacher or educator to stay focused..
One of the characteristics of the Merdeka Curriculum is implementing project-based learning to support character development in accordance with the Pancasila student profile. In the Independent Curriculum, Schools are given the freedom and independence to provide learning projects that are relevant and close to the school environment.
In relation to century skills 21, Project-based learning is said to be able to teach various strategies to achieve century-long success 21, help students develop century skills 21, increase responsibility, practice problem solving, self direction, communication and creativity.
This is what teachers at SDN want to try to do 15 SP. 3 Skp. D Pandan, Tempunak District in order to implement project-based learning in this independent learning curriculum. The theme raised is cultural acculturation (a social process that arises when a human group with a certain culture is confronted with elements of a foreign culture. The foreign culture is gradually accepted and processed into one's own culture without causing the loss of cultural elements of the group itself).
A series of projects displayed are the result of collaboration between class teachers and subject teachers, both Religious Education subject teachers and Physical Education, Sports and Health subject teachers.
To make project work easier, certain ways are needed, because there are many different thoughts and perceptions in one group.
The steps :
- Develop plans and create a project framework
- Determine the time
- Monitor project implementation
- Testing and assessing projects
- Evaluation of project-based learning
* Develop plans and create a project framework
The group that has been formed takes a problem that occurs in everyday life and unites opinions regarding the solution to the problem. So that this stage is structured, The first step when creating a project is to prepare a project plan and create a project framework. So in this stage it is necessary to divide roles within the group.
* Determine the time
Determining time is done by making a schedule. In one group agree on a project schedule that is determined together, by paying attention to the project deadline given by the teacher.
* Monitor project implementation
In the third stage, students monitor project implementation according to the mutually agreed schedule. Students record the stages and important points in the project for writing reports.
* Test and evaluate
At this stage, discussions are held and testing the feasibility of the project created by the group and providing a report to the teacher.
* Evaluation of project-based learning
At the end stage, students explain and present the results of the project to other groups, receive feedback and guidance from the teacher. Students also write the evaluation results of the projects presented for later improvements.
SDN Local Wisdom Acculturation Work Event 15 SP. 3 Skp. D Pandan, Tempunak District. Students and teachers present activities that utilize goods available from nature in the surrounding area which are related to the culture of the community around the school. This activity is an implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum launched by the Government which is summarized in the Pancasila Student Profile Development Project (P5). The value emphasized in this activity is tolerance and respect for various existing differences. The hope, Students can learn from an early age to turn differences into cultural wealth, not a divider between people.
