Creating a class with character is very important to support the internalization of character values in students. To create a class with character requires the role of the teacher by implementing differentiated learning, namely learning according to interest, talent, student learning readiness and student learning profile. In this way, freedom of learning will be realized which will create a proud generation of the nation.
I am a public elementary school teacher 050661 Kwala Bingai, Langkat district. The unique thing that I have is that I have the nickname 'Magician teacher', The students said that I was able to change the student's character into a student figure that reflects the Pancasila student profile. Students are the inspiration for determining fun learning models/methods. The students' smiles that are etched during learning are an unspeakable satisfaction, because students need a touch of affection and sincerity so that students feel safe, comfortable and happy so that the dream school becomes a reality for students. Of course, I did a lot of things to create a class with such a character :
In applying all of this, it turns out that I still encounter several students who are passive because they feel confident in their abilities, The student is not yet aware of his own competence. That way I took the initiative to carry out differentiated learning. As time goes by I apply differentiated learning in class with sequential steps.
To achieve the vision and mission of a class teacher, of course there will be challenges. In this case, my challenge in implementing differentiated learning is that several parents of students are complacent about the learning that I implement. Parents think their child is an orphan by being given different learning from his friends. Some pass by Whatsapp privately or talk to other teachers.
To face this challenge I have several ideas, namely:
Differentiated learning is still taboo for parents of students, For parents of students, values and the pursuit of learning according to the curriculum are primary. Therefore, I changed the mindset of students' parents that building students' character is number one. Because students' character is formed, students are able to achieve their dreams, dengan menjadi generasi bangsa yang membanggakan.
What I learned from the above is that creating a class with character is very important to support the internalization of character values in students.. Teachers are only seed planters whose job is only to educate and guide students according to the nature and nature of their time, Students are not dolls that we shape according to our wishes. By creating a class with character implementing differentiated learning, it is clear that students become more confident each time they take part in the lesson. The students even dared to answer the trigger questions I gave. Besides that, Students become more enthusiastic in displaying their talents and interests in front of the class every Saturday. Students feel that they have directed freedom to realize their dreams, namely being free to express their opinions, ideas or expertise. The words from the students' parents were also unforgettable because they were able to change their children into braver students, confident, enterprising, and more progress in learning. A class with the character I want is created by creating students who reflect Pancasila students.
