START STUDENT LEARNING WITH CLASS CONTRACT
A person can obtain and share education within the family environment, school and community. This environment teaches many values, including spiritual ones, social, responsibility, honesty, patience and discipline. In order for continuity to occur, there needs to be consistency, support and prayer to implement existing values.
Then how do we apply these values as educators in schools?? Of course there are challenges too. Being a teacher for a long time is not a guarantee that you will stop and be satisfied with the achievements you have achieved.
Starting from the year 2005 until now it doesn't feel like it has 18 my year as a teacher at SMAN 3 Ponorogo. Continue to adhere to the principle of learning anywhere, anytime and with anyone. That way I always think that the student is the teacher, source of knowledge and place to learn.
Interacting and communicating with students at school intensely or frequently is my obligation and responsibility as a teacher. In carrying out my duties at school I go to class and meet students, in the process of teaching and learning activities (KBM) according to the existing schedule. However, other than outside the lesson schedule, I also usually interact with students outside the classroom.
As a teacher at school or in the classroom when carrying out teaching and learning activities, Of course, we hope for a class that is safe and comfortable for learning. To create these conditions of course, I always involve students.
Various problems that often arise and I experience in class are:,
- Students arrive late to class
- There are many students in the class.
- Students lack concentration when studying
- Students speak for themselves
- Students work on other subjects
- Students playing on cellphones.
To overcome the existing problems of course requires cooperation and commitment from me and the students, which is then outlined in the class agreement. So, how to start to implement class agreements? First : I invite students to discuss, about the meaning of comfort in learning and how to make it happen. What are the obstacles and challenges when studying and how can you be disciplined in class?.
Finally, with discussions between me and the students, several class agreements were reached, including: :
- students enter class 07.00 WIB late tolerance 07.05, If students arrive later than the agreed time, then, First, Students go straight to the picket room to ask for permission to enter, second, If a student is still late for class then make istigfar 1 sheet, third, Students will write a statement letter with the signature of the class teacher and parents.
- Students wear complete school uniforms and attributes, with a time tolerance note of approx 2 week to complete it, Students are required to wear black shoes on Mondays, Tuesday and Friday, Students can wear other colored shoes on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- students bring textbooks, juz 'amma and tajwid book
- when is PAI lesson time at 1 -4 for, Students go directly to the mosque to perform Dhuha prayers and continue with teaching and learning activities.
- Students are allowed to bring cell phones, but it is not permitted to operate cellphones when teaching and learning activities are taking place. If that is done then,: First, student reprimanded, second, I keep my students' cellphones and return them after the Islamic Religious Education lesson is over, third, I keep my students' cellphones and return them after school, fourth, I keep my students' cellphones for one day, fifth, I keep my students' cellphones for as long as possible 3 day, to six, I kept my students' cellphones and their parents took them, to seven, I keep my students' cellphones and return them when they graduate.
- Students must have neat hair and short nails.
It turns out that making a class agreement between me and my students has many benefits. Among other things, we will try to commit to existing agreements. As a result, students can feel good concentration in learning, and there is a comfortable learning process in the classroom, safe and fun.
