I am an elementary school teacher 4 at UPTD SDN 05 Guts. By implementing a new curriculum, namely the independent curriculum in schools, I have an initiative to create a learning community at school.
Challenge
My idea was rejected by colleagues because the time after work was longer during activities. After discussions with the principal, this activity finally ran well
Action
Learning is carried out outside study hours so that it does not interfere with the teaching and learning process, In this activity the focus is more on learning activities in the independent curriculum. Starting from creating teaching modules,mode P5, assessment, even learning models and creating teaching media. Of course this has a very good impact on classroom learning activities. And teachers can increase their own competence in teaching and learning activities. And the teachers have a better understanding of the independent curriculum.
Change.
The change I see in the students is that they are more happy and eager to learn. Collaboration between teachers at school is even closer, Teachers' competence in teaching in class is more popular with students. In fact, I am also more confident in speaking in front of other teachers.
