Public High School 1 Uangdem is in Jungutan Village , Burdendem District, Karangasem. A school that has been standing since the year 2003 it has a vision " The Realization of Pancasila Student Profiles That Are Locally Outstanding and Globally Visionary”. One of the activities carried out to realize this vision is by carrying out the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) in class X which has implemented the Independent Curriculum. One of the themes raised in the implementation of P5 in schools is the theme of Sustainable Lifestyle . This theme was chosen based on the closing of the landfill which had been the final disposal site for school waste. Therefore, Schools must manage the waste they produce every day themselves, both organic and inorganic waste. This situation is one of the focus factors for P5 activities on the theme of Sustainable Lifestyle in phase E in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, namely source-based waste processing in schools..

Based on this situation, As the Deputy Principal of the Curriculum Division and the P5 companion in class X, I am tasked with designing the P5 activity program for this Sustainable Lifestyle Theme. The activity focuses on source-based waste processing which I named the activity 3 P ( split, choose , recovered ). 3P consists of three main activities, namely sorting organic and inorganic waste (split), choose plastic waste to be used as useful objects and can be saved in the waste bank (choose), and restore environmental and economic conditions with targeted and sustainable waste management (recovered). When starting this 3P activity, many challenges were found, among them : lack of supporting resources, good human resources ( SDM ) as well as tools for processing waste. Likewise, the school community's knowledge about processing organic and inorganic waste is inadequate, The tools needed to process the waste are not yet complete.

Facing these challenges, SMAN P5 Facilitator Team 1 Uangdem, coordinated by the Deputy Head of Curriculum, held a coordination meeting for the implementation of P5 Sustainable Lifestyle Theme. From the results of the meeting, it was decided to purchase an organic waste chopping machine and collaborate with waste management practitioners to provide training on source-based waste management.. It was also decided to carry out activities to make organic compost from leaf and twig waste, processing plastic waste into useful objects and forming waste banks at schools. After attending a briefing by waste management practitioners and P5 companions regarding waste management, Students begin to get used to the process of carrying out activities 3 P this. Activity split starting with the provision of rubbish bins in every class and strategic places . There are three types of trash cans, namely yellow for inorganic waste, Green is for organic waste, bamboo trash cans for plastic bottle waste and in some places red trash cans are provided for hazardous waste. Every day students get used to throwing away rubbish by sorting it according to the type of rubbish. Activity choose , that is, students are accustomed to choosing the type of inorganic waste again. Inorganic waste is selected which can be sold to the waste bank, which ones can be processed into useful objects and which ones include residual waste to be burned. The organic waste is also selected which can be processed into compost. Activity recovered, is an effort to restore the condition of the school environment from plastic waste and help restore the economic condition of students through waste bank activities, sales of organic compost and which are being pioneered, ecoenzyme soap. In the process, activity 3 This P succeeded in fostering dimensions of creativity and mutual cooperation- cooperate with students as part of the Pancasila Student Profile (3P). Students carry out activities together and collaborate with their friends because all activities are carried out on a group basis. Students' creativity emerges in the process of processing plastic waste into useful objects and in the process of processing organic waste into compost and ecoenzymes..

At the moment, the results of the 3P process, in addition to fostering students' creativity and spirit of mutual cooperation, Class X students now have competency in making organic compost, make ecoenzymes, create and manage waste banks and make crafts or useful objects from plastic materials. Students use plastic bottles of mineral water to make vertical gardens, plant's pot, echobright, garden chairs or lounge chairs, classroom decoration, Flower vases and organic compost are also sold to school residents and non-school residents who order them. Compost is also used for cultivating various plants in schools as part of P5 activities on the entrepreneurship theme. Currently students are also in the process of producing ecoenzyme soap. Besides that, The waste bank managed by students has also started running regularly. Apart from class X students who carry out P5 activities, This sustainable lifestyle theme is also fully supported by extra-curricular entrepreneurship which manages the school's waste bank. So the activity of sorting and selecting waste carried out by students has had an impact on restoring school cleanliness from waste and recovering the student economy from the sale of compost fertilizer and the sale of plastic waste at waste banks. Activities 3 P to realize P3 in State High Schools 1 Uangdem is a collaboration-based activity. So this activity can be carried out well because of cooperation with various parties. In its implementation, mastery of the process of all activities is the most important thing emphasized to students. So continuous efforts are needed to maintain the commitment of students and other school residents to carry out waste management activities on an ongoing basis. Moreover, this activity of processing organic waste into organic compost has received appreciation from the Karangasem Regency Government when it was visited directly by the Regent of Karangasem and made it a pilot source-based waste processing activity that can be imitated by other schools and villages that do not yet have a waste processing program.. Of course, this appreciation is a challenge for schools to remain committed to carrying out these 3P activities on an ongoing basis to obtain results in accordance with the goals of the school's vision in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile with local excellence and global insight..
