Education is a stage for change, where educators have a central role in guiding the younger generation to face the challenges of an ever-growing world. In this context, Sociology subject, taught in class X, XI, danXII, has great potential to shape students into independent individuals, reflective, collaborative, innovative, and side with each other.
My goal is to develop these values in students through the study of Sociology. I am inspired by my own knowledge and experience, and encouragement to help students read and understand the changes around them. I am committed to encouraging them to become individuals who are able to adapt and make positive contributions to their environment.
Changing times have shaken the order in various aspects of life. Education is no exception. I realize that if we don't respond quickly and responsively, we could lose the potential of future generations. However, This challenge did not dampen my enthusiasm. On the contrary, it motivates me to continue learning and provide the best for my students.
I choose to pursue an independent and collaborative approach. I learn from various sources, utilize various media, and take part in the available training, especially through the Merdeka Belajar platform. I believe that learning doesn't just happen in the classroom, but also through personal initiatives and collaboration with fellow educators and the wider educational community.
In this learning and teaching process, I have discovered the importance of building a positive culture in the classroom. I implement these values through a process of creating classroom agreements that involve students. All students are given the opportunity to submit their creative ideas about how to make their dream class a reality. Through this, I saw student enthusiasm and participation grow, and a sense of ownership of learning.
