Good practice before revised

[Revision_teru]

Good practice elaboration

early:

The visible learning conditions are the uneven level of active participation of students, learning is still centered on the teacher, and students have not shown closeness to their classmates. Besides that, There needs to be interesting learning media so that students can understand the material more easily.

Challenge:

There is a need for learning strategies that can increase students' active participation in class and also the closeness between students in class. Besides that, There is also a need for fun learning media so that students can more easily understand the material.

Action:

Learning that involves group games is related to learning material so that students can experience fun learning with friends – his friend. In this case, using the Domino Style card game (DoYa). DoYa cards are inspired by Domino cards, where the card consists of two parts, the top and bottom are filled with writing or images about style. I make as much 5 set with different colors. One set for 1 group, so that later in the lesson all students can participate together.

In learning, The teacher explains the rules of the game about the style Domino game (DoYa) to each group leader and give them game instructions. Each group leader explains how to play the game to his group members. In the DoYa game, Students are asked to match writing/images that have the same type of style until the cards run out. The group leader appoints one member to write down the game score for each session where each group plays three sessions. The game for each session will end if there are three winners, Winner 1 get points 100, winner 2 get points 75, and winner 3 get points 50. The group winner is the player who gets the highest score after three sessions. Before the teacher distributes the domino set, The teacher and students make an agreement in the game. The role of the teacher is to go around as a companion, facilitator, and motivator.

Change:

Students look happy and explore their knowledge in the game. Each member can provide input if one member gives a card that is not suitable. Students can discuss the card choices chosen by their friends and can also give each other motivation for friends who do not have the appropriate cards. Active interaction activities in groups can increase closeness between students. Besides that, with learning strategies and learning media used, Students can better understand learning about Style material.
