As a dedicated teacher, I always feel called to create an appropriate learning environment for every student in my class. However, in the process of accompanying their learning, I feel worried and restless. Each student has unique and different learning needs, and it is often difficult for me to give each individual my full attention. This anxiety deepened when I realized that some students seemed less interested in the learning process. Therefore, My teaching goal is to achieve differentiated learning, where every student can feel valued and supported in their academic development. I want to create a space where they can grow and learn according to their individual potential, without any limitations.
Differentiated learning is a learning approach that considers needs, interest, and the different learning styles of each student. Students who have a kinesthetic learning style are characterized by being curious, actively moving, can't sit in a place for long. In my class almost 75% students have a kinesthetic learning style. For this reason, I provide an alternative to using the paper mode Quizizz application as a process differentiation activity. When every student feels recognized and supported, they tend to be more motivated to learn and participate actively in the learning process.
When trying to apply the paper mode Quizizz application in teaching and learning activities, As a teacher, I face various quite challenging challenges. One of the main obstacles I faced was the problem regarding the barcode paper printed for each student. Every time KBM takes place, These barcode papers are often damaged, like torn or crushed, making it difficult to scan accurately. This causes some students to have difficulty following the application process smoothly and feel frustrated when the barcode paper does not work properly. I feel concerned because I want to provide an optimal learning experience for each student, but these technical problems are sometimes difficult to overcome.
Besides that, I also face the challenge of holding each student accountable for the paper barcodes they have printed. Some students tend to lose the barcode paper or even forget to bring it when implementing the paper mode Quizizz application. This resulted in their non-participation in these activities, and sometimes affects the overall atmosphere of the class. I try to remind and help these students, but still, These obstacles are part of the learning process that must be faced and resolved.

Some students may feel unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the concept of technology-based learning like this. By using paper mode, all students can participate without being limited by technology access. This application provides an opportunity for students to experience healthy challenges and competition in answering questions that have been prepared by the teacher. I hope that using this application will provide new enthusiasm for students to take part in KBM with enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
Thus, The introduction of differentiated learning through Quizizz paper mode is an effective solution in facing the challenge of heterogeneity in the classroom. The goal of this approach is to create an inclusive learning environment, support, and full of enthusiasm for every student. One strategy that I employ is laminating barcode paper before distributing it to students. By melamineating, Barcode paper is more durable and is not easily damaged or crushed even if used repeatedly. Besides that, I invite students to write their name and class identity on the back of the barcode paper. This aims to ensure that barcode paper can be easily identified and returned if it is scattered. I then stored these barcode papers neatly in the classroom cupboard, so students can easily take it when they want to use it again.
To ensure students can use barcode paper correctly, I gave a detailed explanation about how to hold the paper during the scanning process. I show an example of how to position and hold the right angle so that scanning can run smoothly. I also provide opportunities for students to try themselves and provide corrections if necessary, so they feel more confident in using this technology.
The students' response to the process differentiation activity using Quizizz paper mode was truly encouraging. The students showed high enthusiasm because they felt challenged in answering the various questions presented. They compete to achieve the highest score and feel happy because they can immediately see the results of the answers they have given. Besides that, This activity also makes them feel more active and involved in the learning process. They found that learning could be more fun and less monotonous by using the paper mode Quizizz application. over time, I saw an increase in learning motivation in several students who previously lacked enthusiasm. All of this provides confidence that the application of this learning strategy has a positive impact in creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting the academic development of each student.
