This outing class program aims to provide students with the opportunity to study outside the conventional classroom environment. This program encourages experiential learning and allows students to explore real-world applications of concepts 6 dimensions of the Pancasila student profile that they have studied. By engaging in interactive activities and visiting relevant locations, Students can deepen their understanding of subject matter and develop practical skills.
In running the Islamic Camp (Outing Class), I realize how important it is to consider all potential risks that may arise. One of the things I noticed was the steps I had to take to maintain safety during the event. In order to face potential risks, I, as the program coordinator, must carry out a thorough risk evaluation. I must try to identify possible threats, such as transportation risks, unfavorable weather conditions, or perhaps health and safety concerns at the place we are visiting.
To solve transportation problems, I am very careful in choosing a driver who is experienced and has sufficient knowledge of the destination areas. This is very important to reduce the risk of accidents or other problems related to transportation. I also ensure that the condition of the vehicles that will be used in Islamic Camp activities is in good condition and secure.
Besides that, I also made a backup plan to deal with bad weather that might occur while we were at the activity location. This is important so that we can continue to carry out activities safely and avoid potential problems caused by unfavorable weather factors. I always communicate with related parties to obtain the latest information regarding the weather and prepare myself and the participants if unexpected changes occur.
Besides that, as program coordinator, I also established clear protocols for dealing with emergency situations. My team and I always have an emergency management plan and carry out simulations or exercises to ensure that all Islamic Camp participants know the steps to take if an emergency situation occurs.. This is done to maintain the safety and security of all participants.
During preparation for Islamic Camp, I also provide information to all participants about the safety and behavioral guidelines that must be followed during the event. I remind them of the importance of keeping themselves and others safe, respect the places we visit, and maintain a polite and respectful attitude towards fellow participants.
Apart from the security aspect, I also pay attention to the content of the Pancasila student profile in preparing our Islamic Camp activities. I was inspired by the six profiles of Pancasila students which I believe will shape the positive character of each participant. This profile includes having faith and being devoted to God Almighty and having noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independent, critical reasoning, and creative.
In organizing the Islamic Camp program, I really pay attention to various things, such as discussions about appropriate implementation locations, the mode of transportation that will be used for the trip, Estimated time for carrying out activities, as well as putting together a detailed itinerary plan.
Once everything is organized, Islamic Camp begins. The activities that I have prepared cover various aspects that reflect the profile of Pancasila students. We started by building a tent, which is a combination of independent attitudes, mutual cooperation, and creativity of the participants. We also provide basic religious material, which involves understanding and practicing faith and being devoted to God Almighty and having noble morals in everyday life. Besides that, we involve the participants in food preparation, which trains them in an independent attitude, mutual cooperation, and creativity. During Islamic Camp, We also organize sports and academic competitions, which tests the spirit of mutual cooperation, creativity, and courage of the participants. Do not forget, we also organize hiking activities, that supports the values of global diversity, mutual cooperation, and creativity. Final, We provide free time for participants to have fun and build social relationships between fellow participants, as a form of integration that we embrace.
Through this activity, I was able to achieve some of the results we had targeted. I saw an increase in knowledge and a deeper understanding of the importance of applying the Pancasila student profile in everyday life in each participant. I can also see the increase in faith and noble character in the participants. Besides that, there is a better understanding of diversity and the importance of collaboration, effective communication, as well as superior critical thinking and creative abilities. And finally, Participants can reflect and evaluate their experiences during the Islamic Camp.
It is hoped that all of these outputs can help students strengthen their knowledge and understanding and reflect on their participation in Islamic Camp activities. Thus, Islamic Camp will be a valuable experience, which helps them in self-development and the introduction of fundamental Islamic values for the participants.
