Implementation of the old PPDB pattern with calistung selection
Creating Fun Project-Based PPDB

I am the school supervisor in Basa Ampek Balai Tapan District. My building school is total 7 school, From my observations in several target schools, the acceptance of new students still looks stiff. The PPDB carried out still uses entrance selection. Students are still being tested for calistung, even though this is not in accordance with the principle of independent learning in an independent curriculum. I want my target school to innovate in accepting new students. This year, none of the schools I target will hold Calistung selections and so on. If the new student is old enough to attend school and lives in the school zone, as well as from the achievement and Affirmation pathways ,until ready to be accepted to school.
In realizing project-based PPDB, the challenges I faced were first, construction schools do not understand how to accept new students in accordance with the independent curriculum, Students get to know the school environment with activities 2 The week starts with MPLS activities so that students are ready to adapt . Second, lack of teacher knowledge about MPLS . The three school principals paid little attention to the needs of the PPDB committee.
To overcome these challenges, I took action. First, I socialize how to accept new students in accordance with the concept of an independent curriculum. The activity began by asking the principal and teachers at the target schools to take part in independent training at PMM. The topic discussed is the topic of transition from PAUD to SD. I accompanied the principal and teachers when dissecting this topic. I also open space for discussion and reflection on the content presented on this topic. One of the teachers expressed his reflection "Wow, "It turns out that our PPDB practices so far have not been appropriate, ma'am," said Mrs. Ermawati. "So far we don't understand how PPDB is actually received." After we took part in the training at PMM, it turned out to be really fun, this". Mr Amrizal said.
Furthermore, I propose to the construction school, How can we make PPDB this time on a project basis?. Once agreed, each school designs a project that suits the conditions of their respective schools. One of the schools carried out the first activity , The teachers at the school introduced themselves. Then it continues with the teacher's activities in pictures. In this activity, several photos/drawings of teachers at their new school are provided. This picture is shown to students. New students are asked to say the first letter of the teacher's name in the picture. This activity aims to develop students' ability to solve problems and find solutions.
The demonstration begins with a picture of the class teacher 1 then continued with another picture of the teacher. On the next day, new students were asked to color their teacher's picture according to the colors they liked. Besides that, Parents are also given the opportunity to get to know teachers and students.
In this year's PPDB there have been significant changes, there are no more construction schools that hold selection. New students also feel very happy because MPLS is fun. Students are really ready to learn in elementary school. This activity can run well. I also involve driving teachers in my target area to collaborate so that a pleasant transition from PAUD to SD can be realized. In the future, I will accompany schools to create various exciting environmental recognition games for MPLS activities.
