Before introducing the ATAP method in writing inspirational texts , Students find it difficult to express ideas, in the form of inspirational writing, There are quite a few students' writings whose structures are repeated ( bullet ). It was from this problem that I tried to apply the ATAP method to learning to write Inspirational Texts for Indonesian language subjects. Here are the steps:
The first step of learning , Students are asked to prepare photos/descriptions of conditions in communities experiencing downturn, such as regular flooding during the rainy season, residents' homes that need a helping hand to renovate, school age beggars, rubbish scattered in the classroom and so on.
When viewing a photo or picture, students are asked to write down what they hope to get from that condition, for example , there were no floods in his village, all residents of the surrounding community have adequate housing, All Indonesian children have the right to education, clean classroom conditions, and others.
After finding an idea in the form of hope, students are asked to write what concrete actions they can take to make their hope come true, for example, invite friends- school friends held community service work cleaning gutters in their neighborhood, invite school friends to save alms every day from part of their pocket money, make a class agreement to keep the class clean and make a picket schedule.
Next, students are asked to interview people affected by their activities, Apart from that, students also wrote a series of activities they carried out starting from collecting photos as initial documents, write hope as a challenge, and follow-up as a real action effort, as well as the results or lessons he gets.
After the interview results are obtained, the students combine their writing into a complete unit and write it down. "I feel proud of myself, because when I was in middle school I had a book that was already finished- ISBN," said Humairah, one of the students who wrote the book. Seeing their bright smiles is what makes me continue to apply the ATAP method in learning to write Inspirational texts in Indonesian language subjects in class. 7.
