Nusantara Educator Meeting XII (TPN XII) in Mojokerto successfully held on Saturday (14/06) Of SDI Asy Syarif Mojokerto. Hundreds of educators from various levels and backgrounds filled the venue until the event ended in the afternoon.
Activities organized by Teacher Learning Foundation And Archipelago Learning Teacher Community (KGBN) Mojokerto This was also attended by Deputy Regent of Mojokerto, Muhammad Rizal Octavian along with government officials from the District Education Office. and Mojokerto City, Ministry of Religion District. “A healthy educational climate starts with teachers who continue to learn and strengthen each other. Through TPN XII, we see that spirit growing in Mojokerto,” said Rizal Octavian highlighting the TPN XII theme “Climate of education and climate education”.
“Climate education is not just about the environment, but also forming a generation that is aware of the sustainability of life. Teachers have an important role in this matter,he added.
TPN XII in Mojokerto presents four learning series, namely four Educator Classes, seven Leader Classes, Educational Talkshow, and exhibition of student works. All activities are designed to provide space for teachers and school leaders to build a collaborative educational ecosystem.
Learn from Fellow Educators, Not an Expert
Different from conventional teacher training, in the Educator Class and Leader Class, Participants have the autonomy to choose classes that suit their interests and needs. Besides that, This class provides space for teachers to learn from fellow teachers, not from an expert.
"TPN XII is a stage for teachers on the move. We learn from each other, not from the ivory tower. I also learned a lot from the practices of fellow teachers who provided meaningful learning even with limited resources,” holds Kasiadi, TPN XII Mojokerto Coordinator.
Kasiadi explained, The TPN XII topic also carries a mission to transform the role of teachers. Teachers have a role to ensure students don't just fail to graduate with high grades, but but also grow as competent individuals who are ready to face the world.
“By supporting students to have the competence to face the climate crisis, we are equipping them with many competencies so that they are ready to face various life challenges,” he.
The enthusiasm of the participants was visible from morning to evening. The class atmosphere is lively with active discussions and a spirit of collaboration. Many participants come as individuals, but return home as part of a learning community.
“I would highly recommend other teachers to join TPN next year, because TPN is not just training, but the movement of teachers to grow together," say Nugroho, one of the participants.
TPN XII does not only take place in Mojokerto, tetapi juga serentak di 44 other areas throughout Indonesia throughout June-August. The election of KGBN Mojokerto as the organizer means that it has demonstrated its ability to lead change in the region.
