PEGON ARABIC READING AND WRITE LEARNING STRATEGIES

Become a class teacher 7 Mts cannot be said to be easy, because the students come from various elementary/MI graduates. This makes me have to understand the character of each student. Moreover, the subject I teach is Tajwid, Tafsir and Tawheed. All of them are lessons in the Arabic language book and the meaning of using Pegon Arabic writing.
Starting from several subjects that I teach, I have hopes for my students that they can read and write Arabic pegon. Because that will be our basis for studying the book. However, because they graduated from different elementary schools, automatically not everyone can read Arabic writing well. There are those who can read Arabic writing correctly, there are also some that even the letters Hijaiyyah are still upside down. This is the biggest challenge for me as a book teacher in the classroom 7 Mts.
At the first meeting, I invited them one by one to read the Koran, as a means for me to find out how capable they are in reading Arabic writing. so that it will be easier for me to understand every ability of my students.
Because all the lessons are Arabic and Makni uses Arabic pegon writing, I invite them to understand the concept of reading and writing pegon. Some students immediately understood well, there are also those who still do not understand and are confused by what is called pegon Arabic.
Finally I found a way that could encourage them to learn to read and write pegon. For example, in Tafsir lessons, I wrote the verses of the Qur'an along with their meanings on the blackboard. Then I asked them to write in their respective books what I wrote. After that, I asked them to take turns writing using the Latin script under the meaning of my pegon. This indirectly means they have learned to read pegon Arabic writing.
It turns out, The action I took was welcomed by my students. They were enthusiastic about going forward on their own without me asking. However, From there it turns out there are more challenges that come. Because the meaning of pegon that I write sometimes does not meet the number of one class (one class consists of 25-28 child), automatically progresses almost the same every day. Finally I asked for their approval to advance according to the amount of meaning I wrote. Suppose there are as many as 20 meaning of pegon, I offer them with 10 meaning for men, And 10 meaning for women. They confidently say “I am, Ma'am" while replying. I felt touched to see the passionate enthusiasm of my students. Thank You.
