Students initially assume that English is a language that is difficult to learn because of other sounds, writing and meaning, some of them even think that English is a hypocritical language, so they are less motivated or less interested in learning English well.. Another thing that students lack confidence in speaking English is due to an unsupportive environment where when there are students who use English, other friends give demotivating expressions.
Seeing the initial conditions of the students, of course I have to think about finding the right learning method for them so that they are interested and want to learn English.. The method I use in language learning is the discovery learning method because this method encourages students to explore themselves for new concepts. Of course the teacher must also motivate students.. With the discovery learning method, students try more to find the right way to use English. However, the title of the lesson is Speak confidence doing action (SCDA)
The first stage that I do in learning English is by playing English songs or English conversation videos from native speakers., In the second stage, I distributed papers to the students in which there were guidelines for speaking to each other using English,they speak what they have heard from the video of the conversation, this is what I call speaking confidence and doing action
If you demand change from students, it must start from the teacher, because great students are born from great teachers, let's continue to learn to be creative teachers, innovative and fun in every lesson. create a learning atmosphere that students always miss. and take advantage of existing digital learning platforms. let's keep learning. Make optimal use of media and digital learning so that students can understand what we teach. If children's abilities are developed according to their stages, then he will see that learning is a positive thing and a fun activity.
