
Regent of Maros, Dr. H.A.S. Chaidir Syam, S.IP., M.H., expressed full support and appreciation for the activities of the XII Nusantara Educators Gathering which was held by the Indonesian Learning Teacher Community (KGBN) Maros collaborates with the Guru Belajar Foundation.
In his meeting with the KGBN Maros management, Regent Chaidir Syam, who was just elected to a second term, said that TPN is clear evidence of the enthusiasm of teachers in encouraging positive change in the world of education, especially in Maros Regency.
"Come on, teachers in Maros Regency to take part in this activity as a place to share and learn together to improve teacher competence which has an impact on increasing student competence," he said in the audience session on Thursday (29/05).
The XII Archipelago Educators Meeting in Maros Regency will be held on 20 July 2025 at the Maros Regency Multipurpose Building, with a theme: “Climate Education and Climate Education.” This activity invites all educators in Maros Regency to be involved in attending, both as a participant, speaker, to performing works with students.
This year's TPN XII is not only a meeting forum, but also a vehicle for sharing knowledge and inspiration. The participants took part in various activities such as, Intelligent Teacher, Educator class, Leader's class, Educational Talkshow, and Exhibition of Student Work.
All activities are designed to encourage teachers to become lifelong learners and key actors in creating a reflective educational climate, ramah, and sustainable.
Chairman of KGBN Maros, Muhammad Takdir, expressed his hope that TPN would become the starting point for wider collaboration between educators in Maros.
"Through this TPN, we want to strengthen the culture of sharing good practices. We believe, Educational change starts from the classroom, from the teacher, and from the community,"He said.
The theme "Educational Climate and Climate Education" was raised as a form of concern for the Indonesian Learning Teacher Community (KGBN) Maros and the Guru Belajar Foundation on the challenge of climate change which is now a global issue.
Teachers are expected to be agents of change who educate the younger generation about the importance of protecting the environment and building collective awareness from an early age.
TPN XII KGBN Maros is an important moment to strengthen teacher networks, broaden horizons, as well as increasing the capacity of educators in responding to future challenges.
Regional government support is a strong asset for the sustainability of the community-based education movement in Maros Regency.
