
Meeting between Indonesian Teachers Association (IGI) Lembata Regency And Regent of Lembata, P. Kanisius Tuak, S.P., on Tuesday(27/05) in the Regent's Office produced positive results. In the meeting, The Regent expressed his full support for the implementation of the XII Nusantara Educators Meeting (TPN XII) in Lembata.
In his statement, The Regent of Kanisius Tuak expressed his commitment to attend the activities scheduled to take place on 14 June 2025 in St. Mary's Hall. Don Bosco Lewoleba.
"I am ready to attend TPN to meet all Lembata Regency teachers. This activity is an important space to reflect on the direction of education, not just academically, but also in concern for the environment, humanity, and the future of the earth," said Kanisius.
Also present at the meeting, Head of the Education Department (Head of Education Department) Lembata Regency, Wisheslaus Ose, S. Sos., M.AP, who expressed his appreciation for the IGI initiative. He also stated the department's readiness to support event logistics, including providing local food-based consumption, in line with the Regent's vision and mission regarding the power of local food and climate education.
“We are grateful for this activity. This represents a major leap in teacher development. We hope that the results of this activity can be implemented in each school,” said Wens, The familiar greeting of the Head of the Lembata Regency Education Office.
Meanwhile, IGISCOMPLECTION IGIR, Feldin Rano Kelen, S.Pd, explained that TPN XII in Lembata Regency will present a variety of learning activities, namely educator classes, leader's class, educational talk show, work exhibition, to Teacher Quiz Simulations.
“There will be teachers sharing good practices. Teachers learn from teachers. Teachers learn from students at a work exhibition. For those selected to be resource persons in educator classes and leadership classes, they also have the opportunity to be speakers at the TPN XII Summit in Jakarta in October," explained Feldin.
Educators who wish to become resource persons at TPN XII must complete the Learning Mission. In this mission, educators are challenged to share good practices according to the existing context.
Furthermore, Feldin expressed his hope that TPN would become an important momentum for teachers to increase their insight and professionalism. “We want this activity to not only be a matter of regional pride, but also a real contribution to the world of Indonesian education,” he concluded.
